Aheneah

Aheneah is a street artist out of a million. No one does what she does. The Portuguese artist combines her design background with her grandmother's embroidery lessons to arrive at the kind of pixelated images that at the same time speak of an age-old craft. From a distance, her work looks very digital, while it usually couldn't be more analogue. Aheneah works with yarn and textiles, and she literally strings her murals together. In Ostend, she needed eighteen thousand screws to do this, and over a dozen volunteers.
